A note on Ostrava
About three weeks ago I was in Ostrava an Industrial city in Moravia Czech Republic. Not small as I thought, not covered in a cloud of air pollution as I thought, not that much historic architecture and the people are friendly as I thought. I may be moving there or to České Budějovice for school.
Thing is, I have always had an affinity for big cities especially those capital ones. So far I have only lived in two towns. That is the one I was born in Kalulushi, a mining town which I hardly remember and Mariánské Lázně, a spa town which I adore. Oh, and one other place, Brandýs nad Labem which I lived in because I couldn't find accommodation in the city. I miss Prague already.
